EMPLOYEES STATE INSURANCE CORPORATION (ESIC) STENOGRAPHER RECRUITMENT EXAM
The promulgation of Employees State Insurance Act, 1948(ESI Act), by the Parliament was the first major legislation on Social Security for workers in independent India. The ESI Act 1948 encompasses certain health related eventualities that the workers are generally exposed to such as sickness, maternity, temporary or permanent disablement, Occupational disease or death due to employment injury, resulting in loss of wages or earning capacity-total or partial.
ESIC – Employees State Insurance Corporation announced job vacancies for Upper Divisional Clerk(UDC) and Stenographer in region of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Delhi NCR, Goa, Gujart, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Orissa, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal
Those candidates who fill the eligibility status may apply for the post by filing their online application in proper format before the last date.

- A) Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Note: The application of a candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him/her by the Government of India.
B) Educational Qualification:
- Higher Secondary Pass (pass in 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized board).
2. A Speed of 80 words per minute in stenography in English/Hindi.
3. Working knowledge of Computer including use of Office Suites and databases.
Candidates who have not acquired/will not acquire the educational qualification as on the closing date of receipt of online application will not be eligible and need not apply.
- C) Age – (as on 15-04-2019):
Between 18 to 27 years of age as on 15-04-2019
Upper age limit is relaxable for ESIC Employees, Government Servants and persons belonging to reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex‐Servicemen & other categories of persons in accordance with the instructions and orders issued from time to time.
SCALE OF PAY : Revised pay as per 7th Central Pay Commission for the post is Level-4 of Pay Matrix (Civilian employees) with Entry Pay Rs. 25500/-, replaced against Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-of 6th Central Pay Commission.
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
Scheme of Examination for the post of STENOGRAPHER is as under:
Phase I-Main Examination
Phase II-Computer Skill Test & Stenography Test (Both Qualifying in Nature)
CENTRE OF EXAMINATION: While applying online application, candidate must select the centre in the application form in which he/she desires to take the exam.
The examination will be conducted online in venues given in the respective call letters.
No request for change of centre/venue/date/session for Examination shall be entertained.
ESIC, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and / or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc.
ESIC also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for.
No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate including SC/ST candidates for appearing in the examinations.
Choice of centre once exercised by the candidate will be final.
HOW TO APPLY
Candidates must apply online through the website www.esic.nic.in. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected.
Candidates to go to the ESIC website www.esic.nic.in and click on the option APPLY ONLINE FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF STENOGRAPHER / UPPER DIVISION CLERK IN ESIC which will open a new screen.
To register application, choose the tab Click here for Registration and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id.
A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
